2dass die Vorsitzenden, die erlost sein werden zum Vorsitz
3für die kommende Volksversammlung, hierüber verhandeln
4lassen und die Beschlussvorlage des Rates in die
5Volksversammlung einbringen, wonach der Rat es für gut befindet, dass man
6das Gute billige, das nach dem Bericht der Priesterin geschehen ist bei den
7Opfern, die sie opferte für das Heil und die Rettung des
8Rates und des Volkes und der Kinder und Frauen
9und des Königs Demetrios und der Königin
10Phthia und ihrer Nachkommen; – Da die Priesterin
11der Polias Sorge getragen hat in guter und ehrgeiziger
12Weise für die Ausschmückung des Altartisches gemäß
13dem traditionellen Brauch, und für das andere, was die
14Gesetze und die Beschlüsse des Volkes vorschreiben; sie stets
15zu jeglichem Zeitpunkt ehrgeizig war für
16die Göttin; und unter dem Archon Alkibiades sie
17aus eigenen Mitteln ein Theräisches (Gewand) und - - -
18und härene geweiht hat; sie auch bei den Praxi-
19ergidai für das traditionelle Opfer aus eigenen Mitteln
20einhundert Drachmen gezahlt hat; – Damit nun auch das Volk
21in öffentlicher Weise diejenigen ehrt, die am höchsten
22die Frömmigkeit gegenüber den Göttern erachten: dass man belobige
23die Priesterin der Athena Polias - - -te,
24die Tochter des Polyeuktos aus dem Demos Bate, und
25bekränze mit einem Olivenkranz wegen ihrer Frömmigkeit
26gegenüber der Göttin; dass man belobige auch ihren Mann
27Archestratos S.d. Euthykrates aus dem Demos Amphitrope
28und ihn bekränze mit einem Olivenkranz
29wegen seiner Frömmigkeit gegenüber der Göttin und seinem
30Ehrgeiz für den Rat und das Volk; dass
31diesen Beschluss der Sekretär, der während der Prytanie
32amtiert, aufzeichne auf eine steinerne Stele und aufstelle auf
33der Akropolis; - - -

2that the presiding committee allotted to preside
3at the forthcoming Assembly shall put the matter on the
4agenda and submit the opinion of the Council
5to the People, that it seems good to the Council to accept
6the good things [that the priestess says?] occurred in the
7sacrifices that she made for the health and preservation of the Council
8and the People and children and women
9and [king Demetrios] and queen
10[Phthia] and their descendants; and since the priestess
11[of Athena] took care well and with love of honour
12of the adornment of the table according to
13tradition and the other things which the laws
14and decrees of the People prescribed, and continues
15at every opportunity to be honour-loving towards the
16goddess, and in the archonship of Alkibiades she dedicated
17from her own resources a Theran and - - -
18and a garment of plaited hair; and contributed to the Praxiergidai
19a hundred drachmas for the ancestral sacrifice from
20her own resources; so, therefore, that the People
21may be seen to be honouring those who rate most highly
22piety to the gods, to praise
23the priestess of Athena Polias - -te
24daughter of Polyeuktos of Bate and
25crown her with a foliage crown for her piety
26towards the goddess; and to praise also her husband
27Archestratos son of Euthykrates of Amphitrope
28and crown him with a foliage crown
29for his piety towards the goddess and love of honour
30towards the Council and People; and the
31prytany secretary shall inscribe this
32decree on a stone stele and stand it
